Located on Moonta St it has two pairs of Imperial guardian lions donated by the People’s Republic of China guarding the entrances at Grote and Gouger Streets.
Chinese restaurants, grocery stores and markets make up the majority of our Chinatown and small though it may be it adds a bit of character to our delightful city. Make my day and shout me a beer.

We have an area in Oklahoma City that we call Little Tokyo. The funny thing is that there are more Korean stores, restaurants, etc than there are Japanese places.

I don’t get into town often, but you know I don’t remember ever seeing this before - either I pay absolutely no attention to my surroundings when I’m driving through (most likely), or I’ve managed to never have to go down Grote Street :)

Stephen, you have got to be kidding? perhaps it has to do something with what is going on in Tibet and they are blocking any reference to China. What are you doing in China anyway?

They’ve got you in their siights. They don’t just let anyone take photos of their stone lions you know! :)
It’s probably nothing to do with your site - it may be another site on your server. It’s not to do with Tibet. I can read pretty much any story I want here, even about Tibet. In fact China is opening up more every day. In the last couple of weeks, they’ve unblocked the BBC’s website (although we’ve been able to watch the BBC for years) and Blogger.
I’ve been teaching ICT here for a couple of years, but in a couple of weeks we’re heading back to Australia…
