Too many people look for beauty in perfection but fail to see the beauty in imperfection. Take this rose for example, it obviously has had better days but you can’t deny it’s inherent beauty. The same could also apply to humans as people can make too much of the external appearance and completely discount the internal beauty of a person.

How beautiful is the rose
How delicate the petals
As fragrant to the nose
Causing the bees to settle

Like gossamer wings
Clear as drops from the sky
A long time gift from Kings
Causing many a love to sigh

A gift from our God above
To his creation below
To show how he did love
And so that we would know

As delicate as the petal may be
As translucent in the light
A gift so that those can see
That love still shines bright
