There is a tree in growing at the Tea Tree GullyTennis club that would definitely be a tourist attraction if tourists knew of its existence. I was lucky to find this tree thanks to a young female tennis player who pointed it out to me. If you are ever in the area you should have a quick look to see if you can find it. The Tea Tree Gully address is 88-100 Elizabeth Street Banksia Park. Happy hunting, and remember to cover the eyes of any under aged children.

Sunsets are beautiful no matter what part of the globe you happen to find yourself. You just need the right light and background setting. This particular shot was taken at Glenelg and as you can see it has the beach as a bacground. There are many beaches near the City of Adelaide but Glenelg is by far the most popular. this is probably due to the many cafes and retail outlets that is found there, especially along Jetty Road. The fact that the stores are open 7 days a week is also an added attraction.

This was to be a mini version of the iconic single arm London Eye ferris wheel. Mini as opposed to London Eye’s massive 135m tall version, complete with 32 enclosed glass gondolas, ours is only 25m-high with a capacity for carrying 80 people. The Pommy version can carry 800! Still it is rather cute, but to this day I still haven’t seen it move. I think it was still in construction when I took this photo so maybe it will come alive one day soon.

I reckon that a photographer looks at things differently from the average person. They manage to see beauty where other people stumble blindly by. Even when it doesn’t seem apparent, a good photographer can even create beauty. It can have a lot to do with the lighting, the framing of the subject, the DOF (Depth Of Field) or even the time of day. A photographer may wait for ages for just the right moment.

I don’t think that I am a great photographer by any means but that doesn’t stop me from going out there and taking photos. This would be a great hobby for anyone to take up, especially with the advent of digital cameras which are getting cheaper and cheaper every day. Being digital, you don’t even have to print it unless you really want to.

One of South Australia’s most most popular tourist destination would definitely have to be the resort town of Victor Harbor. I would say that Mount Compass would have to be a popular stopover as it is pretty well half way there and is a great place to take a break and stretch the legs.

This particular cow would have to be the most milked cow in the world.

If you happen to be passing by during the month of February you may want to take a look at Australia’s only cow race while consuming some of the areas local produce, such as the venison pie and fresh strawberries. I make sure that on every trip I always take home some jars of the best jams around. Many families even take advantage of being able to pick their own strawberries.
