Mount Compass, Stopover To Victor Harbor

One of South Australia’s most most popular tourist destination would definitely have to be the resort town of Victor Harbor. I would say that Mount Compass would have to be a popular stopover as it is pretty well half way there and is a great place to take a break and stretch the legs.

This particular cow would have to be the most milked cow in the world.

If you happen to be passing by during the month of February you may want to take a look at Australia’s only cow race while consuming some of the areas local produce, such as the venison pie and fresh strawberries. I make sure that on every trip I always take home some jars of the best jams around. Many families even take advantage of being able to pick their own strawberries.

Out of all the human organs the heart would have to one of the most important as if it were to stop functioning the rest of the body would die. One particular hear condition is called Tachycardia which in essence is a fast heart rate. I found this interesting tachycardia video which gives a detailed description of the condition.

Knowing how important your heart is it’s amazing that more people do not maintain a healthy lifestyle. It isn’t all that hard as all we need do is exercise regularly, eat healthy, refrain from smoking, and not eat or drink to an excessive amount! Let’s face it, the longer you guys live the longer you get to enjoy this fantastic blog. Looking forward to seeing you again. :bye_tb:

Symmetrical Water Drops On A Leaf

I took this photo on one of those rare occasions that we received a bit of rainfall. As South Australia is the driest state in the driest inhabited continent and Adelaide is the driest city in Australia I usually take advantage of moments like this and rush out as soon as the rain stops to see what photographic opportunities I would come across.

I found this leafy plant and found the symmetrical drops on the leaf very interesting.

This truly beautiful Catholic Cathedral stands on the corner of Wakefield Street, to the east of Victoria Square. It wasn’t completed until 140 years after the laying of the foundation stone, and at the time of this photo was undergoing some upgrading.

One of the few churches that has its very own home page complete with worship details, history and news letter etc.

The Remarkable Rocks Of Kangaroo Island

When visiting Kangaroo Island, just off the coast of South Australia, I highly recommend going to the Flinders Chase National Park to see one of the Island’s most popular icons, the Remarkable Rocks!

remarkable rocks

One can see, after viewing these rocks, that Mother Nature is the most supreme artists ever. She may take her time but her work is truly breathtaking.

The sculptured granite boulders at Remarkable rocks offers many opportunities for the avid photographer.

If you plan on visiting Kangaroo Island I suggest you put at least three days aside in order to appreciate it properly.
